Instruction

Week 1

Supervisor: Ms. Anis

Start thinking about what you should do and don't just choose what’s trending but choose the one you are most confident in.

Student: Lee Yan Xu

Brainstorming on what I should do so that I can give a final decision to my supervisor next week.

Week 2

Supervisor: Ms. Anis

I’ve shown Ms. Anis about my decision which is about protecting the ocean/environment. But, finally she recommended that I redesign a website called Reef Check because just doing the project about protecting the sea is quite boring. So, although I am not an UI/UX student, I still want to try to do it.

Student: Lee Yan Xu

Start doing research on the website (Reef Check), learn about the knowledge of UI/UX so that I can proceed with the whole project. Also, start doing the proposal slides for the proposal presentation.

Week 3

Since I've confirm my project title, Ms.Anis assign me to Mr. Asrizal as my supervisor.

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal

Mr. Asrizal said that if just redesign a website is not enough, so he recommends me to make a campaign and connect it to the website so that I have enough reason to redesign the website (Reef Check)

Student: Lee Yan Xu

After got the feedback, I started doing research again and finally decided to create a campaign and link this campaign to website (make them related).

Week 4

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal

Mr. Asrizal said maybe I am focus on what I wanna do (which mean I don’t have any strong problem statement or target but just follow the instruction of Ms. Anis which is to redesign the website), so the first thing is to have a strong target.

Student: Lee Yan Xu

Clearer my project overview, problem statement and objective. Other than that, also show what I wanna do more clearly such as my final outcome (website and campaign).

Week 5

since we need to submit proposal presentation video, I focus on finish my proposal presentation deck and making the video, so I didn’t attend the consultation this week.

Week 6

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal
Because I haven’t finish all the website brush-up, so still cannot give a very confirm and complete suggestion, but for now, all the things look ok, keep continued

Student: Lee Yan Xu
Continue to brush-up the website pages and think what can I add (pages and the contents inside each page) to make it more attractive and more complete.

Week 7

Progressing in project.

Week 8

This week, students need to attend an apron design competition by Yuen Chun. So, I didn’t attend the consultation this week.

Week 9

Week 10

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal
Everything is ok, just keep continuing because I haven’t finished the brush-up. Finish all the website design before the next consultation.

Student: Lee Yan Xu
Continue the brush-up and make some design changes about the website such as the colour and shapes used in the content so that the website can looks more organic and comfortable.

Week 11

Progress is quite behind and slow, need to speed up.

Complete the website and continue doing the collateral for campaign.

Week 12

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal
Mr. Asrizal said although I’ve done the prototype and merchant, but that is not the primary things should do now, I have to plan for the campaign first.

Student: Lee Yan Xu
I’ve show Mr. Asrizal about the progression of finishing the prototype for website and also most of the merchant for the whole project.

Week 13

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal
All the planning sounds good, try to make the planning visible on a A2 board. Other than that, the design of the merchandise looks good. Just continue with what you have now.

Student: Lee Yan Xu
I plan to redesign the website again because I keep feeling it might not be that good. Other than that, I will follow the suggestion from Mr. Asrizal.

Week 14

Supervisor: Mr. Asrizal
everythings look good, do consider about the font size for website and mobile because it looks a little bit big. Furthermore, better add a social media channel so that target audiences can get information easily.

Student: Lee Yan Xu
This week I have improved my website design and make a mobile app prototype too. Other than that, I have also make the campaign planning poster. Moreover, I also create few post for instagram. After getting feedback, I compiling annd finalise up all things to prepare the final presentation.
